Diagnosed with diabetes a decade ago, exercise became a vital part of managing my health. I had a membership at a low-cost gym where I would occasionally show up a couple of times a month, using the elliptical machine and weight machines. However, I struggled to stay consistent and felt like I wasn’t making any progress. It felt like taking medicine—the bitter but beneficial kind that doctors prescribe when you’re feeling unwell.

I first noticed 212 Health Performance while sitting in the patio area of Seven Stars Bakery. There was an incredibly enthusiastic group of people working out with kettlebells, and the music was bumping! In February 2023, my curiosity got the better of me, and I signed up for an orientation. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

I absolutely love the focus on strength training, flexibility, and overall health. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and skilled guides in how to perform exercises safely and build strength. The mix of small group training, various strength training classes, yoga sessions, and educational workshops is truly wonderful.

I’m passionate about music and movement, and I find the group classes with upbeat music to be energizing. They push me to work harder than I ever would on my own, leaving me with a strong sense of accomplishment and gratitude for our incredible bodies. Small group personal training has given me valuable insights into effective weightlifting and proper form, helping me realize my potential and abilities.

My relationship with my body as I move through the world has changed. I am much more aware of how I stand, sit, move, and walk (thank you, farmers carry with kettlebells)!

I’m truly impressed by the space Kerry has created in collaboration with the amazing trainers and staff. It’s a welcoming, inclusive, high-energy, joyful community of people moving! There is a clear intention here to help each person build and maintain a practice of health and fitness.
